Meet Linda L. Hanway, R.N.

Following an early retirement, Linda L. Hanway became a volunteer at the Clinic on April 28, 2003; since then, Linda has given over 490 hours of her time and expertise to the patients of the Clinic.
Linda runs the Clinic’s 2-hour TB Testing Clinic on Wednesdays. An average of 20 or 25 patients are tested each week….a record high of testing 56 patients in one clinic was set last year.
As a Registered Nurse, Linda spent the last 20 years of her “paid” career teaching in the LPN program at Penn Valley Community College. Prior to that, she worked in both hospitals and doctor’s offices in the Kansas City community.
A native “north of the river” person, Linda lives in Gladstone. She is a avid reader, enjoys the theatre greatly, and delights in spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda started volunteering at the Clinic because she had heard so many good things said about the Clinic during her nursing career. She has stayed at the Clinic because “everyone at the Clinic is so friendly.” She likes the Clinic staff and the Clinic patients.
TB tests at the Clinic are given on Wednesdays mornings, 9-11 am. Patients must return to the Clinic on Friday to find out the results of their tests.
