Education and Training
Preventative health education services targeting at risk communities are provided in these areas of concentration include HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), cardiovascular health, and prevention with HIV+ individuals. Individual, group, and community level interventions are provided in the following areas:
- HIV Education
- Coping & Risk Reduction Education
- SISTA. Sisters Informing Sisters about Topics on AIDS. A program for African American Women developed by Afican American Women. For infromation contact Carla at 816-268-0619 or carlab@kcfree.org.
- Chronic Care Diabetes Education
- MATEC-MO. Kansas City Free Health Clinic is the local performance site in Missouri for MATEC. As such, the Clinic will offer training to health care professionals on all aspects of HIV prevention and treatment. Click here to see training programs now scheduled.
